Braver Announces New Hires and Promotions

Boston (April 26, 2007) – Braver today announced several new additions and promotions to the executive team of their accounting, auditing and tax services group. They have promoted to shareholder Stuart D. Lyons, CPA, and Robert S. Miller, CPA and have been joined by Mathew Talcoff, CPA, formerly of Ernst & Young, LLP, and Cynthia M. Hickey, formerly of Brown & Brown, LLP, as shareholders. Braver has also promoted Eric Saunders, CPA, and Cyndy A. Caproni to principal. Braver is a financial services company employing more than 180 professionals providing services in accounting, wealth management, business strategies and technology solutions.

Stuart D. Lyons, CPA, promoted to shareholder, presently serves as the principal tax consultant on Braver’s largest clients, including the worldwide tax compliance and planning for a multi-billion dollar international construction firm. Stuart has been at Braver for three years and joined the firm from his previous position at KPMG.

Robert S. Miller, CPA, promoted to shareholder, is responsible for managing audits and reviews of clients across a variety of industries, including technology and software, real estate, service companies, not-for-profits, manufacturing and other closely-held companies. Rob joined Braver two years ago from previous positions at Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP and Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Cynthia M. Hickey, CPA, joining Braver as shareholder, has over eighteen years of experience providing tax planning and compliance services to a diverse client base including real estate, law firms, medical practices, retail operations and small closely-held and family businesses. She joined Braver from her previous position at Brown & Brown, LLP.

Mathew Talcoff, CPA, joining Braver as shareholder, has provided federal, multi-state and international tax compliance and planning, transaction advisory and tax audit defense services to a broad group of family owned and entrepreneurial businesses throughout New England in many industries. He joined Braver from his previous position at Ernst & Young, LLP.

Cyndy A. Caproni, promoted to principal, provides a wide range of services in the areas of accounting, auditing, tax compliance and tax planning. She specializes in real estate, and partnership and trust taxation as well as income tax planning for individuals. Cyndy has practiced at Braver for over ten years.

Eric Saunders, CPA, promoted to principal, manages the audit for one of Braver’s largest real estate clients and is the lead auditor for Braver’s not-for-profit organization clients. He also provides audit, accounting and tax services to manufacturers, automobile dealerships and closely-held businesses. Eric has been with Braver for over five years.
